Planning
Like any architecture, map databases require planning and specifications.
We provide detailed written specifications for geospatial databases.
Research
Maybe you have unique requirements that don’t fit into the off-the-shelf GIS products.
We do research on every situation to make sure the solution fits the needs.
Creativity
Sometimes things need that creative spark for new solutions to old routines.
Believe that the best way is the simple way and make complex systems doable.
Quality
Quality is where the walk matches the talk. If it can’t be measured and validated then it’s not real.
We provide quality systems planning and measureable outcome
Execution
All the theory in the world won’t build a database.
There comes a time when the rubber has to meet the road. We execute projects on time, on quality, and on budget.
ROI
If it’s not worth something, why do it?
We will provide you with assistance in developing funding and demonstrating the ROI of GIS.
Critical Infrastructure Mapping
CIM is a Vermont LLC with a field office in New Orleans Louisiana. CIM is owned and managed by Jay Clark. Jay has been active in the GIS data creation world since 1990 when he went to Vermont Technical College to obtain a VT State license in subdivision design and on-site septic treatment. This included training in surveying and civil engineering. Both disciplines are fundamental to his understanding of GIS. In his early work Jay managed several small companies, including a community help line and a general contracting business. In 1994 he went to work for Geographic Data Technology, then was acquired by TeleAtlas and then again acquired by TOMTOM. In the 17 years he was with those companies he worked in most all the map production areas, including Production, Quality, Product Management, Program Management, and Partner Development. Since venturing out on his own in 2010 he’s been busy with building very cool GIS databases.
CIM is more than just Jay’s consulting company. We work in a tight community of GIS professionals to get the job done from start to finish. Our Key Partners are below:
RedMap is a Virginia LLC, owned and managed by Sean Deinert. RedMap handles all our functional testing and quality management. Typically this involves setting the quality measures, developing the testing methods and the statistical routines, and executing the testing to determine pass/fail on all deliveries. Prior to establishing RedMap, Sean spent 12 years working on multiple large-scale projects as a technician, Quality Control supervisor, and Project Manager for the States of Texas and Louisiana, and the USGS, FEMA, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Sean has worked extensively with National Hydrography Dataset products, including the development and quality control of over 200 HUCs and the creation of standards for Coastal Mapping products. He has also overseen complete topographic map production lines and quality control standardization for State-wide projects.
RMSI Private Limited is a multinational GIS center of excellence. They do
all the heavy lifting in building the GIS datasets we deliver.RMSI has offices in NYC, Delhi, and Hyderabad. They have nearly 1000 people working on all types of GIS and CAD work. We have managed and delivered literally millions of miles of GIS roads data together over the last 15 years. RMSI brings expansion capability to CIM that we would not be able to replicate by building a local shop. RMSI makes it possible to successfully undertake projects of all sizes and levels of complexity. We are proud that they will continue to be our dedicated production partner for all the work we do. Jay is shown here with the Senior Management Team.
I-Cubed offers enterprise geospatial data and information management solutions for commercial and government clients, including defense and C4ISR implementations.
They provide the technology we use to serve up our imagery ground control system. They are the developers of the Geospatial Asset Management System that we recommend to our clients for their spatial filing cabinet.
The use of imaging, be it photographic, or LIDAR, or RADAR, visible or multi-spectral, aerial or terrestrial, is the most effective proxy to determine spatial accuracy and completeness of features. I3 provides our team with a one-stop shop for data and services that store and serve that data. No one does this job better than they do.
Whether you are using your own in-house imaging, or you are outsourcing the collection, i3 provides the glue that holds it all together for your users. With update capabilities as soon as 14 days from capture, the “currentness” of your data needs never be an issue.
